With the financial support of the Gerard Basset Foundation, KEDGE Wine School is promoting social diversity in the wine industry through three sommellerie programs held on our campuses. Through these programs, economically disadvantaged students will get the chance to learn with some of the best sommeliers in the world.
We warmly thank Nina Basset, Romané Basset and all the trustees of the Foundation. We are very proud. The wine and hospitality industry needs to be more diverse and more inclusive. It is so important for us to bring our contribution, with all the amazing wine professionals lecturing in these sommellerie programs.
In 2022, we had the pleasure of meeting the 11 students who undertook KEDGE Wine School's sommellerie programme, and it was clear to us that the course had opened avenues to them which they hadn't anticipated or thought possible before with the new skills which they learned. We are therefore delighted to be supporting KEDGE Wine School's expanded offering of sommellerie courses to economically disadvantaged students, as we have no doubt that their positive effect will be even greater.
