Wine and Spirits Management programme testimonials
To make it, stay ambitious and curious
I initially joined KEDGE as part of my business studies, during which I participated in various activities with the student association AOC specialising in wine. This experience motivated me to join the KEDGE Wine School. The programme provided me with the opportunity to connect with a diverse network of students and professionals from around the world, contributing to the enrichment of my perspective and knowledge. I had the chance to meet Alexandre Vingtier, with whom I completed my internship. He assisted me in establishing connections that eventually led to my current position as a brand manager for "La Maison du Whisky". In this role, I facilitate communication between producers and the sales team, overseeing a portfolio of brands that I am responsible for developing. My goal is to continue working within this company, while also considering the possibility of transitioning to a larger enterprise or even starting my own business in the future.
The confidence to undertake a successful career change
This programme offered me the opportunity to learn from competent and inspiring speakers from around the world, expand my circle of friends, and acquire skills, notably in negotiation, distribution, tasting, and technical knowledge through obtaining WSET3. All of this took place in English, further enhancing my international openness. After obtaining my diploma, I pursued a career path focused on entrepreneurship and founded my own company, Amble Wine, specialising in creating practical and enjoyable educational resources to learn about the world of wine.
Adapting the latest marketing and business tools to the art of conviviality
The wine and spirits industry is all about adapting the latest marketing and business tools to the art of conviviality. The MSc at KEDGE gave me much more than the tools I needed to pursue a career in the field that I love, it gave a me group of friends i can rely on throughout my career, which is exactly what i wanted out of this programme.
A perfect springboard for penetrating the wine industry
Coming from a family of winegrowers and wine lovers, the MVS has been a perfect springboard for penetrating the wine industry. Combined to a work-study contract at the cooperative winery Monsegur, courses and training were essential to acquire and strengthen the basic knowledge required to work and evolve in the wine industry .
Meeting the needs of restaurants, hotels and specific businesses
I now work for wine.com.br, the largest wine and beer e-commerce operation in Latin America. After being very successful in selling wines to consumer directly (B2C), the company decided to create a dedicated division, meeting the needs of restaurants, hotels and specialty stores (B2B), combining its efficient logistics chain with a well-established e-commerce platform. I am responsible for the entire B2B operation, from product management, marketing to the commercial operation of the business unit.
