The learning experience is different
"When I came to France, I was not really sure what to expect and how post-grad will be like abroad. But it was the right decision to choose KEDGE Business School, especially Toulon campus as it was located in a nice city in the south of France with lots of beaches nearby, perfect weather (not too cold during winter), and rich in culture and naval history. During free time, it is always a good idea to explore the city. Toulon is packed with lots of activities and events happening in every corner that will suit everyone’s taste, and what makes it better is that most of these are free!
At Kedge BS, the learning experience is different. It's a combination of theoretical and hands-on learning based on actual working experiences and presented in different teaching styles using high-tech facilities. They even have a program that focuses on the wellness of the students’ well-being. Everything went smoothly, and adapting to a new environment was not that difficult thanks to the people who helped me go through it. I am very fortunate for having Kedge BS professors and staff, including the French students who were always approachable and helpful through every step of the way. They would try to speak English whenever they can which made communication a lot easier. Overall, this study-abroad experience has been great and I am looking forward to learning the French language and not having to use translation apps in the future."
A perfect springboard for penetrating the wine industry
«Coming from a family of winegrowers and wine lovers, the MVS has been a perfect springboard for penetrating the wine industry. Combined to a work-study contract at the cooperative winery Monsegur, courses and training were essential to acquire and strengthen the basic knowledge required to work and evolve in the wine industry .»
Researchers work closely with students all over the academic year
"The collaboration starts in the classroom where we introduce the main methods used in research in wine management and their results. It continues in the context of the Master thesis with the strong desire to involve our students in our ongoing research projects. This ranges from the design of the project to, in some cases, the publication of the results in scientific journals. Together with our partners of the Alliance for Research on Wine & Hospitality Management, we invite our best students to present their reseach during the annual conference.”
Collaboration between two renowned schools
"The collaboration of EHL, the best hospitality school in the world, and Kedge, a leader in the wine & spirits business, will provide a remarkable experience for students, faculty and industry participants. The Master program strikes a balance between classes with renowned academics and professionals and top notch digital courses focusing on current issues. This program promises to be truly unique and to offer significant added-value for students, which should establish it as the reference in the industry.”
The diversity of students in term of origin and background
“What struck me more was the diversity of students in term of origin and background and the networking you get by liaising with ex alumni, mentors of the program. They were all very happy to receive you and share their experiences when you are student and even afterwards.”
A very handson approach of the professional and business world
I chose the MSc Marketing programme because I wanted a vocational training with a very handson approach of the professional and business world. I was interested in events management so the association with ANAé was definitely an added value. Many of the lectures were given by practising professionals in the field of events management, which enabled me to develop a clear vision of business realities and display a very professional approach as soon as I started working.
A wide range of career opportunities
The MSc programme opened up a wide range of career opportunities for me. It enabled me to move from the yachting business to the shipping industry. This training is a real plus for anyone wanting to pursue an international career in the maritime transport industry.
KEDGE Scholarship helped me success in shipping
A one year compact master of science with unique specialty and focus on maritime industry was the course I was seeking for. KEDGE Scholarship helped me success in shipping. Business development, setting pricing policy and commercial analysis are among my responsibilities nowadays in CMA-CGM. Law courses were the nutshell of this MSc, thought by a professional team which opened a new horizon in international trade and logistics for me.
A solid theoretical and professional training
“After a university exchange program in Mexico as part of the Master 1 degree, I had the opportunity to continue my education in a work-study program. The degree provides solid theoretical and professional training in the fields of supply chain management, sales, international transport and logistics. This teaching gave me concrete knowledge of the business world and its issues related to international trade. After completing my work-study program at DB SCHENKER, I joined CMA CGM as an Area Manager for the LATAM lines.
The case studies are the real asset of the program
“After a master's degree in business law, I found this program extremely comprehensive. It prepares us to manage, from start to finish, business issues, internationally. With this experience, I continued, at the end of the program, at BOURBON OFFSHORE where I had completed my work-study program to lead a project to create and market a new activity.
The case studies, real assets of the program, helped me in each phase of this project (market analysis, development of business process, creation of an offer, negotiation, etc ...).
After the signing of the first contracts, I decided to satisfy my wish for expatriation by joining the PARLYM group, whose general manager had attended our final case presentations.
Based in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, I am currently in charge of pipeline installation and LPG sphere construction projects in the Vridi area. I thus develop my technical expertise in energies and my knowledge of Africa, in order to take charge of the commercial development of a region on this continent.”
